Roast chicken and veggies for homeless

Cape Town software company, Global Kinetic delivered masses of meals to The Haven Night Shelter.  Altogether, 70 homeless people enjoyed a hearty meal of roast chicken, potatoes and vegetables.

Each Mandela Day, Global Kinetic gives food to the homeless and annually they run many other social investment initiatives – for example, for the Zip Zap Circus School, Global Kinetic provides the organisation with all their software, hardware and technology needs and they fund a number of scholars through programmes such as Siyaya Skills Institute and the Kay Mayson Foundation.

Patrick’s Story

“I had never heard of The Haven and didn’t know what to expect.” Arriving late in the evening, all the beds had already been allocated. “The kind host must have felt my desperation and made a plan to let me stay the night – my first at The Haven.” That was in June 2016.

Patrick did not wait for a miracle. I was determined to find a job, and decided to scour the internet and do all my job-hunting online.
